La Zenia beaches are located on the beautiful Costa Blanca of Spain. These beaches, like many others on the Costa Blanca are reachable from both Alicante and San Javier airports. Alicante is around a 40 minute drive with San Javier only 25 minutes.
The Beautiful Playas de La Zenia
The La Zenia beaches are extremely popular with both locals and holidaymakers alike. There are actually 2 beaches to choose from with La Zenia hotel separating the two. The La Zenia beaches have become even more popular since the construction of Zenia Boulevard which has seen a lot of growth to this area.
The largest and most popular beach has a length of around 350 metres and a average width of 60 metres. There is also good access for wheelchair users from the main road and promenade.
The beaches while beautiful golden sand are well known locally to have a deceptive undercurrent that can be dangerous in certain conditions. With this in mind we would like to stress the importance of being careful when swimming here. There are always lifeguards in attendance during the summer months but the main beach in particular can get extremely busy.
Beach Bars & Restaurants
The beaches themselves are well equipped with the beach hut bars serving refreshing sangria, cocktails and also serves basic food such as burgers and chips, pizza, salads and ice cream cones and lollies.
For more substantial food, there are many bars and restaurants to choose from all within an easy walk from the beach. On the menus you will be spoiled for choice with both local and international seafood and cuisine.
